As I lead off my new series of rural paintings this one is my launching pad. I love to work in muted tones that help tell the story of the cold winter day. Although fairly rare to me, I absolutely love the effect that a last peek of the sun before setting creates. This painting was created using many reference photos from my phone and online, the vast majority of the barn is from my imagination.
