(#248 The McKnight Farm, East Montpelier Vermont 10x12" Acrylic on panel.) This scene hit on so many levels that I NEEDED to paint it while spring is still just hanging on. I was drawn to the bus at first, and then I was pulled in by the leading lines to the distant fields and mountains, how quickly my imagination wandered. I love this time of year when the natural world is chomping at the bit to explode with life. I can imagine the kids on the bus ready to hit the woods and streams for some serious play time after a long day at school. A lot of little stories going on and just a visual feast for the viewer.
