This painting is very special to me. The actual barn in this painting is located in Redding, CT. This painting symbolizes the ongoing battle between our historic barns and farm land and the exploding development of new homes and neighborhoods. Growing up in an old farming town it is heartbreaking to see all the old pastures and wood lots turned into condos and huge cookie cutter homes.
